Eric brings his passion, experience and hard work ethic to the table everyday for his clients.
In addition to being a licensed real estate professional, he is an experienced designer, contractor and inspector with hundreds of homes and businesses under his belt.
He fell in love with real estate, building, and design at an early age. His “uncle” was well known architect, Craig Elwood, and he was influenced at a young age by his art and architecture as well as notable architects like Richard Neutra, Frank Gehry, Frank Lloyd Wright, Schindler, Charles Eames, Eldon Davis, Quincy Jones, Robert Graham, John Lautner, Paul Williams, Richard Meir, and others.
Growing up in Southern California his parents designed and built two spectacular architectural waterfront homes. He was there every step of the way in his early teens helping with project management and his Mother’s interior design work. He learned about construction at an early age from the very best.
Concurrently, he grew up in the packaging industry. His step-father was a pioneering packaging manufacturing entrepreneur and he would go on to establish a complimentary career as a designer, marketer, and supplier of retail and food packaging.
He is the Founder and CEO of The Consultancy which includes Packaging Resources, U.S. Restaurant Consultants, U.S. Delivery Consultants, and Property Services West.
Eric's ability to visualize space and design practical and functional packaging proved invaluable as he transitioned into designing and redesigning homes and restaurants. He was inspired to do so by his wife, Debra Donnelly, a life long interior designer and successful stager following her 14 year career at ABC/Disney Entertainment. She convinced Eric a home was the ultimate package and together they went on to design, stage, remodel and build hundreds of homes and spaces.
Eric's overall experience in and understanding of design, staging, architecture, engineering, geology, construction, and waterfront properties uniquely qualifies him to be an advocate and resource today for owners and tenants alike.
Outside of work he has spent a lifetime serving his communities as a City Commissioner and as a former or current board member of many non-profits including the American Red Cross, American Cancer Society, his local Police Department, Police Activities League, YMCA, SHARE, his local Parks Foundation, Crossroads Community Foundation/PS Arts, Institute of Packaging Professionals, UCLA Alumni Association, RAND Policy Circle, National Restaurant Association, Virginia Avenue Park, Pier Restoration Corporation, Padres El Cancer, PTA, and more.
In 2010, Eric was honored to be nominated by his hometown community and selected from thousand’s of submitted national applicants to be awarded the National Humanitarian of the Year Congressional Award sponsored by the SBCA. He was presented the award in a ceremony at the U.S. Capitol on May 5, 2010 by John Lewis and several other prominent Congresspersons.
If you are looking for experienced people who will work hard and look out for you then we are the group to turn to.
